About Ricco

Ricco has a history of designing and creating unique jewelry designs that spans more than forty years. For nearly 20 years, until recently, he operated his own jewelry gallery in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, a Washington, D.C.-Baltimore area historic town known for its large, creative community of artists. Although the retail gallery is now closed, Ricco continues to live and work in Shepherdstown.

His inspiration as a jewelry maker became clear in 1970 in San Francisco, at the height of the hippie phenomenon. Like many other accomplished artists, he got his start selling his work on the street and in certain areas around Fisherman’s Wharf. In later years, Ricco traveled and worked in many parts of the United States and abroad, including Washington, D.C., New York, Miami, Anthony, New Mexico, Skopelos, Greece, Madrid, Spain and Mendoza, Argentina.

These experiences of many cultures and traditions, combined with his innate talent for working with all types of metal, gems and natural materials, continue to inspire his creation of one-of-a-kind  jewelry pieces designed to become future family heirlooms.
